Referral program

Send a Shopify merchant our way and earn 30% of every invoice they pay, for their first 12 paid invoices. No cap on how many you bring.

The path

How it works

From a free account to the first transfer, with no hidden step.

  1. Sign up for a free BoostEcom account.
  2. Grab your referral link from /account/settings/referrals.
  3. Share it with a Shopify merchant. DM, email, blog post, podcast.
  4. When they arrive, the link stays attributed for 60 days.
  5. Set up your payout account. Stripe Connect onboarding runs once, and no transfer goes out before it is enabled.
  6. You earn 30% of each invoice they pay, for 12 paid invoices.
The rules

What counts as a referral

Four rules, kept apart, because a referrer who learns one after the fact is learning why a commission never arrived. Each is checked when the merchant signs up, not taken on trust.

  • 60-day windowThe link stays attributed for 60 days after the first click, measured against the moment that click was recorded. The merchant can think it over, come back through a search, and still count.
  • New customers onlyThe referred merchant has to be new to BoostEcom: a first organization, on an account opened in the last 30 days. A reactivation does not count.
  • No self-referralYour own link opens no commission on your own account. The programme pays for an introduction, not for a discount.
  • First touch winsAn organization keeps the referral it was created under. A later link cannot displace an earlier one, and a second link on the same organization earns nothing.
Money

How you actually get paid

In money, into a Stripe Connect account, after a hold, and reversible for as long as the invoice behind it is.

  • Stripe ConnectPaid in money to a Stripe Connect Express account, not in credits. You onboard once from your account settings, and nothing transfers until that account is enabled, so set it up before the first commission clears, not after.
  • 30-day holdEach commission waits 30 days before it goes out. The invoice it was earned on can still be refunded in that window, and paying the same day would fund exactly the fraud the programme attracts.
  • Net of taxThe 30% is computed on the amount net of tax. VAT is collected on behalf of a government, it is not revenue, and it is never shared.
  • Reversible, alwaysA refund or a chargeback takes the commission back whenever it lands: there is no cut-off month. If it had already been transferred, it is netted off your next payout rather than invoiced back to you.
In numbers

What one referral is worth

One merchant, one plan, the whole term.

A merchant on the $79/month plan earns you $23.70 a month, net of tax, for 12 paid invoices: $284.40 in total. Bring five and it is $284.40 five times over: nothing caps how many referrals you carry at once.

The two doors that pay

Affiliate or referral, same terms

One ledger pays both, so the commission is not what separates them. What differs is who you are and how you reach merchants. The partner programme is a third door and it pays no commission at all: it trades a directory listing and the leads that land on it.

Introduction

Send a warm intro

Rather hand us the contact than the link? That works too.

Already know a Shopify merchant who'd benefit? Drop their store URL here and we'll handle the intro. You stay on the cc, and the 30% on 12 paid invoices starts the moment they subscribe.

Refer a Shopify operator

The referred merchant must be net-new to BoostEcom. Self-referrals don't qualify.

Minimum 20 characters · 0/4000
Who can refer?Referral
Anyone with a free BoostEcom account. There is no application and no review: the link exists from the moment the account does.
Which merchants count?Referral
Those who have never subscribed to BoostEcom, signing up on a fresh account. A former customer coming back does not reopen a commission, and self-referral is excluded.
When do I get paid?Referral
A commission is earned the moment the merchant pays an invoice, then waits 30 days (the window that invoice can still be refunded in) before it transfers through Stripe Connect. There is no minimum balance to clear, but the payout account has to be onboarded and enabled first.
What happens after {months} invoices?Referral
The commission stops. 12 paid invoices is the whole term, and it is the same term on the affiliate programme: there is no open-ended tier to move up to.
