What it is
The Knowledge module is the retrieval layer behind every BoostEcom agent. It indexes the assets your store actually runs on. catalog, brand voice, prior conversations. and exposes them as a single retrieval surface so generation and chat stay grounded.
How it works
- Three retrieval modes: vector (semantic), structured (catalog filters), graph (entity links).
- Sources resync via webhooks (Shopify) or a schedule (Notion, PDF uploads).
- Per-source scopes: a brand-book PDF can be private to a store.
- Every agent and every skill query the same index. no drift.
When to use it
Whenever generation or chat needs facts: product specs for a description rewrite, brand voice for a hero copy refresh, prior ticket resolutions for support agent training, last season's BFCM playbook for this year's plan.
Limitations
- Index size is capped per plan. Free tier indexes a single store, Pro/Max lift caps.
- PDF parsing handles text and tables; complex multi-column layouts may need manual review.
- Embeddings are English-tuned; multilingual stores benefit from Pro/Max multilingual models.
