Acceptable Use Policy

1. General rules

You may not use the platform to:

• Break the law, or help someone else do so
• Infringe intellectual property, or extract copyrighted content for republication
• Harass, defame or endanger anyone
• Distribute malware, or probe our infrastructure for vulnerabilities outside a reported disclosure
• Resell or redistribute the services, or the output of the AI, as a competing product

2. The scanner and Intelligence

The scanner reads what a storefront publishes to any visitor. It identifies itself as BoostEcom-Scanner/1.0 and its user-agent cites our bot policy.

You agree not to:

• Submit scans at a volume designed to load the service rather than to get an answer
• Circumvent rate limits, spend caps or the opt-out list by rotating accounts or addresses
• Point the scanner at anything behind authentication, or at a site you know has asked us to stop
• Use the results to attack, impersonate or defraud the store you scanned

Store owners can remove themselves at any time, without an account. We honour the removal across the record, the store graph and the creatives.

3. API and MCP server

Intelligence tokens are read-only and personal to the account that issued them. MCP tools are gated by the scopes an operator approved during consent, and a tool outside the approved scope is not merely refused at the edge, it is never registered.

You agree not to:

• Share a token, or embed one in client-side code
• Use the API to rebuild a bulk copy of the Intelligence dataset
• Attempt to reach data belonging to an organisation you are not a member of

4. The Chrome extension

BoostEcom Spy reads the page you are looking at, at your initiative. You agree not to use it to extract copyrighted content for unauthorised reproduction, or to capture pages containing other people's personal data for a purpose they would not expect.

5. AI output

The assistant produces automated recommendations and content. They are not professional advice (legal, tax, medical or financial), and you remain responsible for what you publish or act on.

You agree not to prompt the platform to:

• Produce deceptive marketing, fake reviews or fabricated testimonials
• Impersonate a real person or brand
• Generate claims that breach advertising, consumer or product-safety rules

6. Rate limits and spend caps

Requests are rate limited, and AI spend is capped per conversation and per balance, both before a turn starts and while it streams. These limits protect the service and your own bill; working around them is a breach of this policy.

7. Enforcement

We may warn, rate limit, suspend or terminate an account that breaches this policy, and we act faster where the breach is causing harm. Where we can, we tell you what happened and how to put it right. Security issues can be reported to contact@boostecom.app.
