One ledger, one set of terms, one page for the two audiences it pays.

Twelve invoices, not twelve months
The duration counts paid invoices, not calendar months. A subscription that lapses and resumes pays out on twelve invoices, not on whichever twelve months happened to pass.
30% forever would pay a share of every invoice for as long as the customer stays, for an acquisition made once. On a Max 20x subscription that is $119.70 a month, and by the fortieth invoice the referrer would have been paid as much as the customer's whole first year of subscription, whatever the plan. Twelve invoices bound it to something a financial model can hold.
Two audiences, one page
/network/affiliate is the programme's page, and
it is written for two readers on the same terms: the customer who
introduces a merchant they know, and the creator, newsletter or podcast
that publishes to an audience. Per-referral detail comes from Max 5x up,
whichever reader you are. No application: the link is immediate, on
every account.
The partner programme at /network/partners is
a different thing entirely and pays no commission. It trades a
directory listing and the inbound requests that land on it; the partner
invoices their own clients.
The three rules
Observed payments only. A commission is born on a paid invoice, never on a signup, a trial or an intent. Code redemption is a public endpoint, and a programme that pays on signup funds the fraud it attracts.
Net of tax. Stripe Tax is on, so the invoice total contains VAT collected on behalf of a state. That is not revenue and is never shared: the commission reads the subtotal excluding tax.
Reversible. A refund or a chargeback claws the commission back, following the invoice with no cutoff month. Without that, the programme funds exactly the fraud it attracts: subscribe through your own link, collect 30%, charge back.
You need Stripe Connect to be paid
Payouts skip any affiliate whose Stripe Connect account is not
ENABLED. Commissions accrue as due and simply never move, so complete
the onboarding at
/account/settings/payouts before you
start referring, not after.
Where to watch it
/account/settings/referrals: your
code, your earnings, your payouts.
