Getting started
What is BoostEcom in one sentence?
BoostEcom is the Commerce Operating System for Shopify — you connect a store, @Atlas and the specialist AI Teams audit, plan and ship the work, and you stay the owner. Full story on /about.
How is it different from Shopify Magic or another AI app?
Shopify Magic helps you write a single description faster. BoostEcom replaces the entire stack — copywriting, merchandising, ads, ops, finance, support — with a coordinated team of agents that talks to each other and ships across surfaces. See the full feature map at /features.
How long does setup take?
About five minutes. OAuth into Shopify, pick the org, @Atlas runs the first audit in the background while you finish your coffee. No theme code to edit, no DNS changes. Full onboarding on /features/integrations.
Features
Which AI agents do I get?
One orchestrator and five specialists: @Atlas plans and reports, @Maya runs marketing, @Marco owns merchandising, @Otis handles operations, @Faye watches finance, @Sam runs support. Each profile lives on /agents.
Can I run my own multi-step workflows?
Yes — the canvas at /features/workflows lets you chain skills, agents and triggers visually. You can also install community-built workflows from the marketplace.
Which integrations are supported?
Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Notion, WhatsApp, and growing. Auth uses OAuth where available. The current list and roadmap are on /features/integrations.
Can I bring my own Anthropic / OpenAI key?
The in-platform chat with @Atlas + specialists runs through the BoostEcom AI Gateway with managed credentials — the credits included in your plan cover it, no key to configure. On Free, the MCP relay lets you connect your own Claude Desktop, ChatGPT or Cursor account to access your store from outside. Details on /pricing.
Compared to alternatives
How is BoostEcom different from Shopify Magic?
Shopify Magic writes one description at a time, inside the admin. BoostEcom replaces the whole operator workflow — @Atlas coordinates @Maya (marketing), @Marco (merchandising), @Otis (ops), @Faye (finance) and @Sam (support), each with their own tools, memory and access scopes. Shopify Magic is a feature ; BoostEcom is the operating system that runs the store. Side-by-side on /features.
How does it compare to Klaviyo AI / Klaviyo Agents?
Klaviyo's AI only writes Klaviyo emails and SMS. @Maya writes lifecycle emails AND ad copy AND blog content AND your store theme — and reads back the same Klaviyo data via OAuth, so you don't lose your existing flows. If your Klaviyo flows already work, keep them ; @Maya plugs in alongside, not instead. Integration list on /features/integrations.
Why subscribe instead of hiring a freelancer or an agency?
A senior freelancer charges $1500–$5000 / month and works 20 hours / week on one specialty. BoostEcom runs every specialty in parallel, 24/7, for $49–$299 / month — with a full audit trail of what it touched and why. When you outgrow self-serve, the BoostEcom agency network ships custom work on top of the same surface.
Use cases & verticals
Does BoostEcom work for dropshipping?
Yes. The connector list covers every drop-friendly stack — Shopify, AliExpress feeds via custom connectors, Klaviyo, Meta + Google Ads. @Marco handles product import + pricing rules, @Maya runs the ads, @Otis catches fulfillment exceptions. The marketplace also stocks dropshipping-specific skills, themes and workflows.
Shopify Plus, B2B, Markets, Hydrogen — all supported?
Yes — @Atlas reads and writes via the Shopify Admin GraphQL API, so any Shopify plan with API access works. Plus-specific surfaces (Functions, B2B, Markets) light up when the connected access token has the matching scopes. Hydrogen / headless setups can drive @Atlas via the public API + MCP surface on /features/api.
Does it work for fashion / food / beauty / SaaS / my vertical?
Yes. The vertical doesn't change the operator workflow — every store needs catalog hygiene, ads, lifecycle email, ops monitoring. Brand voice + tone are learned from your existing store content (theme copy, product descriptions, past emails) so @Maya doesn't write generic copy. Case studies on /community.
Pricing & billing
How much does it cost?
Free is $0 — connect a sandbox store and use your own Claude / ChatGPT via MCP relay. Pro is $49/mo (1 store, $49 credits, $1/day daily bonus). Max scales the same surface to 5 stores ($149/mo) or 20 stores ($299/mo), with credits and daily bonus proportional. Custom plans add white-label, SSO and a dedicated CSM. Annual billing -20% (unlocked 30 days after signup). Full breakdown on /pricing.
What's a credit and how is it counted?
A credit is one US-dollar of AI Gateway spend. Each agent reply consumes credits at the retail price of the model used — a typical audit conversation burns $0.10–$0.40. The live ledger is visible from your billing tab; pricing table on /pricing.
What happens if I burn through my credits?
Soft warning at 80% of your monthly balance, hard pre-stream block at 100% — the next message is refused before it hits the model so you never accidentally overdraw. Top up in one click, or upgrade tier. Process documented on /pricing.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from billing settings in two clicks. Subscription stays active until the end of the current period, then stops — no retention dark patterns. Refund and cancellation terms on /legal/sales.
Marketplace
What's the BoostEcom marketplace?
A registry of apps, themes, skills, MCP servers, ready-made stores, agencies and freelancers — vetted, with transparent pricing and one-click install. Sellers keep most of the revenue, we take a flat platform fee. Browse the full registry on /marketplace.
How do I sell on the marketplace?
Submit your listing via the Sell flow, pass a 48-hour content review (anti-spam + brand fit), and link Stripe Connect for payouts. Approved listings ship live the same day ; payouts are bi-weekly with full sales analytics in your dashboard. Apply on /marketplace/hire.
Network & partners
Is there a referral or affiliate program?
Yes — every paying customer earns commission on every paying customer they refer, for as long as the referral stays subscribed. Refer five paying customers and your own subscription is free. Affiliates earn the same commission without needing a BoostEcom subscription. Activate from your account settings ; terms on /network/referral.
Can my agency partner with BoostEcom?
Yes — the BoostEcom agency network lets vetted Shopify agencies resell BoostEcom to their clients with white-label branding, get listed in the public directory, and earn revenue share on every subscription they bring. Apply via the form on /network/agencies ; vetting takes 2–3 business days.
Security & legal
Is my data safe and where does it live?
Your store data, conversations and metadata live on a private Neon Postgres in eu-west-2, encrypted at rest. Uploads sit on Vercel Blob. The AI Gateway pipes prompts to Anthropic / OpenAI without persisting them. Full breakdown on /legal/privacy.
Are you GDPR-compliant?
Yes. EU-hosted, DPA available on request, granular export and deletion from the account settings. Sub-processors and retention windows are listed on /legal/privacy; cookie policy lives on /legal/cookies.
Does the AI take decisions on its own?
Only at the autonomy level you set. Level 1 (proposes, you approve) is the default. Level 2 executes with required validation. Level 3 executes autonomously. Level 4 runs the business end-to-end. You can change the level per agent, per store, at any time. Background on the model on /about.
Support & community
How do I get help if I'm stuck?
Is there a community of operators?
Yes — the forum, tutorials, courses, events and OSS projects are grouped under /community. The network of agencies and freelancers building on BoostEcom lives on /network.
Plan & billing mechanics
Can I change plan later?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or switch between Pro and Max at any time from your billing settings. The change is prorated to the next invoice — you never pay twice for the same period.
What happens to unused credits?
Subscription credits roll over 65 days after the grant, then expire. Daily bonus credits expire at midnight UTC each day. Top-up credits are valid 12 months from purchase and rollover indefinitely while your subscription is active.
Why is yearly billing gated 30 days after signup?
Annual plans carry a 20% discount. We unlock them after 30 days so neither side gets burned by a churn-at-loss month. You've had time to validate the product, and we've stopped paying gateway fees twice.
What's the refund policy?
Full refund within 14 days of your first subscription charge, no questions asked. After that, prorated refunds for unused months on annual plans.
Are taxes included?
Stripe Tax is enabled. EU VAT and US sales tax are computed at checkout based on your billing address. Quoted prices are always pre-tax.
Credits, messages & tokens
What counts as a message?
One round-trip with @Atlas or any specialist agent — your prompt plus the assistant's response, regardless of model used. Tool calls inside a single response don't add to the count.
How do credits, messages and tokens relate?
Credits = the dollar wallet on your Org. Each message consumes credits at the retail rate of the model used (@Atlas Pro / Sonnet 4.6 ≈ $4.50 / 1M input + $22.50 / 1M output, @Atlas Max / Opus ≈ $22.50 / 1M input + $112.50 / 1M output). A typical audit conversation burns $0.10–$0.40. Top up anytime ($10–$5000), or upgrade tier for a higher monthly allowance.
Is there a free trial on Pro / Max?
The Free tier is the trial — every Pro / Max feature is unlocked in read-only mode on Free. Once you connect a store and want @Atlas to ship mutations, upgrade. You keep the full 14-day refund window if it doesn't fit.
Account, team & data
Do you support team / multi-seat?
Users are unlimited on every Org. RBAC (owner / admin / member / viewer) is on the v3.1 roadmap. In v3.0, the Org owner controls everything. Each Org has its own subscription (Stripe customer = Org), so agencies can bill multiple brands separately by creating one Org per brand.
Still on the fence?
Book a 20-min walkthrough — a senior operator runs @Atlas live on your store, identifies the three quick wins, and tells you whether BoostEcom is the right fit before you subscribe.
